GIRLS BADMINTON CUPID SHUTTLE

The girls badminton program will be hosting the Cupid Shuttle on Wednesday - Valentines Day. What better way to express your love than to come play a game of badminton. BOYS TENNIS INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Any boy interested in Boys Tennis tryouts, must attend the preseason information meeting on Tuesday, February 13 from 3:30-4pm at the O'Plaine Cafeteria. Tryout, practice, and season information will be shared at this meeting. HELP A STUDENT GO TO PROM!

Are you looking for a way to make a difference? The Students of Service is partnering with Mother's Trust Foundation to provide hope, confidence, and make a positive difference to students in our community! How can you help? We are collecting new or gently used prom dresses, clutches, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories to ensure that every student who wants to go to prom can! We will be accepting donations in room 106 at the O'Plaine Campus daily throughout the month of February and right up to March 22nd! All you have to do is look in your closet and see what you might have that you'd like to donate! Let's make prom accessible to everyone! (Juergensen)

 

HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES SPRING BREAK COLLEGE TOUR

Are you interested in exploring Historically Black Colleges & Universities? Waukegan Township is hosting their annual Spring Break HBCU College Tour from March 24 - 31. Potential schools to be visited include Spelman, Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, Alabama A&M, Fisk and many more. If you’d like more information, families are invited to attend an informational meeting on Feb. 14 or 21 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm at the Waukegan Township Supervisors Office, located at 149 S. FILIPINO AMERICAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION

The Filipino American Student Association is hosting a movie day at the O'Plaine Room 223B on Valentines Day, February 14 from 3:20 to 4:20. We will be watching She’s Dating the Gangster, starring our favorite Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. Please join us and bring a friend. (McElvain)

 

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB

Gamers, drop by the O'Plaine Library on Monday after school today from 3:20 to 5 pm and play some games, socialize and help finalize our t-shirt and hat design for this year. All alignments and armor classes welcome. There are no late buses as it turns out that THEY were the werewolves all along! (Harkins)

 

SUPERNATURAL CLUB - HAUNTED LOVERS

Join Supernatural Club on Tuesday, February 13 to hear tales of Haunted Lovers throughout history. We will also share any pictures or videos you send us of paranormal activity. See the Student bulletin in your email to send your media to Miss Vignaroli. We will meet in room 205 from 3:20 to 4:10 pm, and will provide late bus passes if you need them. SOFTBALL TRYOUT INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Any girls interested in trying out for girls softball this spring should attend an informational meeting on Thursday February 15th in the O'Plaine Cafeteria by the windows at 3:30. We will go over requirements needed to tryout as well as the tryout schedule. Please try to register online before this meeting. Late bus passes will be available. POST-SECONDARY EXPLORATION PRESENTATION FOR FRESHMEN 2/15

Freshmen…Unsure of what you want to do after high school? Are you overwhelmed by the thought of it? It's not too early to begin your exploration process! Start NOW by attending this beneficial presentation on Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 pm in the O’Plaine Auditorium. Post-secondary options and helpful resources will be discussed so you can feel confident about your next steps and shine your light bright upon graduation! The evening will also include a panel of WTHS Seniors who will answer your questions and share tangible tips and advice on balancing high school while planning for the future. VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE

Students Demand Action is sponsoring a voter registration drive on Friday, February 16th in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. You may register if you: 1-Are a US citizen or naturalized citizen 2- Will be 18 years old on or before the next election (November 5. 2024) 3- Have two forms of ID (School ID and Driver’s License/State ID). INTERMISSION PERFORMERS FOR MR. WARREN

Do you have a special performance talent? Student Council is looking for performers who can entertain a crowd for 5-10 minutes during the intermissions of the Mr Warren Pageant. ALMOND STUDENTS OF SERVICE VALENTINE’S DAY TEDDY BEAR SALES

Are you getting tagged in Valentine's Tik Toks? If so, stop by the SOS table in the cafeteria during your lunch periods and buy a Teddy Bear for your special someone. Bears will be delivered during 1st period on Wednesday. Better hurry as Tuesday is our last day of sales. (Hanlon)
