“FULFILLING THE DREAM” CONFERENCE - On February 19, Lewis University will host their annual "Fulfilling the Dream” Conference in Romeoville, IL. This is an inspirational conference for African American high school students and families. Students will participate in smaller workshops and group discussion to enhance their leadership skills and reflect on the importance of furthering their education. Conference sessions include a Black Student Union Panel, Career Success, and Financial Aid 101. The event is on Saturday, February 19, 8:30 AM -12:30 PM at Lewis University. YEARBOOK CLUB PICTURES - This is the last call for yearbook club pictures. We are wrapping up the club pages and have reached out to all clubs throughout first semester. AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB - Have you always wanted to learn American sign language? Well now’s your chance! By playing games and having fun, learn how to fingerspell and have basic conversations! Join us on Wed., January 19th in room 318A at the O'Plaine campus from 3:20-4:00 pm! All skill levels are welcome! Hope to see you there! (T. Swanson)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB - Are you a gamer? If so, stop by the Tabletop Gaming Club at O’Plaine in room 302 Tuesday from 3:20 to 5:00 pm and play some of the best board games you've never heard of or bring and share your own favorites. Best of all, our custom dice are in! (Harkins)

ASVAB TEST & CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAM - WTHS is hosting the ASVAB for interested WTHS Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors on Saturday, January 22 at 9:00 a.m. at the Almond Campus. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery assesses a student's ability to learn new skills and is a predictor of success in training and education programs. It produces Career Exploration Scores that can aid in the exploration of a wide variety of career options. This would be a great test to take if you are unsure what you’d like to do in the future. The ASVAB is offered at no cost to you and there is no military obligation just by taking the test. Interested students can sign-up in the Guidance Office with Mrs. Joy (Almond) or Mrs. Ellis (O’Plaine) by January 19. Spots are limited so sign up soon if interested! (Hartley)



ARMY LUNCH PERIOD VISIT - Representatives from the US Army will have an informational table in the O'Plaine cafeteria during all lunch periods on Tuesday, 1/18. Stop by during your lunch if you are interested, would like more info or have questions! (Hartley)

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD OPEN GYM - There will be an open gym for any Freshmen or Sophomore girls interested in coming out for Track and Field this season on Wednesday, January 19. COLLEGE PLANNING NIGHT FOR SOPHOMORES - SOPHOMORES, are you thinking about going to college after high school but not sure how to begin? Then plan to attend Sophomore College Planning Night on Thursday, January 20 at 7 p.m. in the O'Plaine Auditorium! Come hear from an Admissions Counselor from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater about how to begin your college search and what you can do NOW to enhance your resume and college application senior year!
