BLACK STUDENT UNION GENERAL MEETING - Join the Black Student Union for our general meeting, Tuesday, October12th at 3:30pm in the O'Plaine campus cafeteria (by the windows). Almond students can take the shuttle to O'Plaine. Bring a friend to play games and discuss the Black experience at college! (Pulec)

LET’S BOWL! - WTHS Girls Bowling Team wants you! The WTHS girls bowling team is looking for girls interested in learning or improving their bowling skills. There is no experience necessary. Only a willingness to learn to bowl better than your current ability.  The commitment is from November to the beginning of February during the winter sports seaton. Tryouts begin November 15 at 4:00pm at Bertrand’s Bowl in Waukegan.  Please bring a friend to our Informational Meeting on Wednesday, October 13 in Room 344 at OP at 3:25 or join us in the Google Meet code: wuf-nrog-mqv.  Contact Coach Lange or Coach Johnson at OP for any questions. GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY FUNDRAISER - Support the Warren Girls Cross Country team by ordering some food from Chipotle in Gurnee Mills on Saturday 10/9 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. No extra charges added, just order and mention Warren Girls Cross Country at time of order. Go Blue Devils! (Buddell)

BASKETBALL OPEN GYM FOR GIRLS - There will be basketball open gym for girls today,  Thursday, October 7 after school at the O'Plaine Gym from 3:30-5pm. Freshman and sophomore girls are invited to attend. Meet the basketball staff and play basketball. All are welcome. Attendees are responsible for a ride home. MOCK TRIAL - The Mock Trial Competition Club will have an informational meeting this Friday, October 8, at 4:00 in Room 141 at the Almond campus. If you are interested in pursuing a career in law, come join us as this may be the club for you. If you are interested, but unable to attend, please email Mr. Olson at (Olson)

CREATIONS OCTOBER SUBMISSIONS - Turn in your art, literature, music, or video that relates to nostalgia, this year's theme, or this month's prompt: "What were your favorite childhood shows and characters?" You can submit multiple creations. Find the submission forms on the Creations website. (Knutson)

PRIDE CLUB - Pride Club will be meeting after school at 3:15 today, Thursday in the faculty cafeteria. All are welcome! (Lidskin)



NEXT S.O.S MEETING IS OCTOBER 13TH AFTER SCHOOL! - The Students of Service will have their next meeting on Oct. 13th in room 308A beginning at 3:20. We will be introducing our new officers, and planning next month's outings. We are also still looking for people to join us for our Adopt-A-Highway Clean up on Sat. Oct. 23rd from 10 am to noon as well as for volunteers for the Trunk or Treat on Oct. 29th - details will be shared at the meeting. Please join us & bring a friend! (Juergensen)

STUDENT ID’S - Students please make sure that you have your Warren ID with you every day. You need your Warren ID for the bus, lunch, checking into the library, resource room, testing center and a variety of other uses. Please make sure to have your Warren Student ID on you and take a picture of it as well so you have it on your phone.  (Bertola)



FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP - Seniors! Need help completing your FAFSA or the Illinois Alternative Application? The counselors are hosting a series of evening family financial aid workshops in the Almond College and Career Center. Our first workshop is today, Thursday, October 7th. To sign-up, view the link in your WTHS email or contact Mrs. McGahan. Remember completing a FAFSA or submitting a non-participation waiver is required for graduation. (McGahan)

ALMOND STUDENTS OF SERVICE - Almond SOS will have its next general meeting today, Thursday, October 7th at 3:20 pm in the College and Career Center. Come and hear about September's recap and all of the exciting volunteering events planned for a Spooktacular October! (Hanlon)

RETURN DAILY LOANER CHROMEBOOKS - Please return the Daily Loaner Chromebooks or chargers today to the Technology Clerks in the Library. We really need the Daily Loaner devices back very soon! Students will be charged a fee after the 2nd day if the Daily Loaner devices are not returned. (Jedryszek)
