MARCHING BLUE DEVILS COMPETITION BAND - The Marching Blue Devils competed at the Lake Park Lancer Joust this past weekend, winning their class, best music, best visual, best general effect, and placed 3rd overall. Congrats Marching Blue Devils! (Genualdi)

FBLA SEPTEMBER GENERAL MEETING - The FBLA September meeting is this Wednesday, September 15th at 7 pm in the OP auditorium. There will be a guest speaker and information on upcoming volunteer and social events. The theme is pajamas, so come dressed in comfy clothes. (Vranek)

WTHS MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION - The Muslim Student Association is having a collaborative meeting today at Libertyville High School in room 224 at 3:45 pm. We will be talking about the current situation in Afghanistan so try your best to be there! You will need to provide your own ride to LHS but don’t hesitate to contact one of the officers to arrange a ride from Oplaine! All are welcome! (Thomas)

HOMECOMING TICKET SALES - Homecoming ticket sales will be available on the Student Council website from September 11th thru September 17th or until sold out.  Tickets are $35 and include a homecoming t-shirt!  Come out and enjoy a Safari night in the Jungle!!  The dance will be held at the O’Plaine Campus and will have an Indoor/Outdoor setting with Food Trucks and more!.  Students with outstanding fees will not be allowed to purchase a ticket to homecoming.  No outside guests are allowed, only current WTHS Students and approved WTHS Alumni.  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Lainio at Oplaine and Mrs. Desiron at Almond. TABLETOP GAMING CLUB - Are you a gamer? If so, stop by the Tabletop Gaming Club at O’Plaine in room 302 today from 3:20 to 5:00 pm and play some of the best board games you've NEVER heard of. All are welcome. You can stay for as long or short as you want. We will be taking club pictures at our next meeting so wear something gamerly! (Harkins)

BLACK STUDENT UNION GENERAL MEETING - Join the Black Student Union for our general meeting, TODAY at 3:30pm in the O'Plaine campus cafeteria (by the windows). Almond students can take the shuttle to O'Plaine. Bring a friend & we will supply the SNACKS! We will have a short presentation & discussion followed by games. ALL ARE WELCOME!  (Pulec)

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY FUNDRAISER - Support the Warren Girls Cross Country team by ordering some food from Lou Malnati's Pizzaria in Gurnee/Grayslake on Wednesday 9/15 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. MINI CAREER EXPLORATION WORKSHOP - Not sure what you might want to pursue as a potential future career? Looking for some guidance on researching careers? Take the first step and attend our mini Career Exploration Workshop on Thursday, 9/16 during your lunch study hall period in the College and Career Center (Room 258). It’s not too early to begin thinking about what comes next for you! Plan to arrive on time, as we will get started right away. (Hartley)

ALMOND CAMPUS

FINANCING YOUR COLLEGE EDUCATION PRESENTATION - Attention Seniors! Are you wondering how to pay for college? Do you know about the FAFSA, scholarships, grants, and student loans? Then plan to attend our annual Financing Your College Education Presentation for senior families on Thursday, September 16th at 7pm in the O'Plaine Auditorium. Remember the FAFSA opens up on October 1st, so come get information to be prepared for that piece of the process! (McGahan)
