HOMECOMING TICKET SALES - Homecoming ticket sales will be available on the Student Council website from September 11th thru September 17th or until sold out.  Tickets are $35 and include a homecoming t-shirt!  Come out and enjoy a Safari night in the Jungle!!  The dance will be held at the O’Plaine Campus and will have an Indoor/Outdoor setting with Food Trucks and more!.  Students with outstanding fees will not be allowed to purchase a ticket to homecoming.  No outside guests are allowed, only current WTHS Students and approved WTHS Alumni.  If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Lainio at Oplaine and Mrs. Desiron at Almond. TECH TEAM - The next Tech Team meeting is on Monday, September 13. We will be discussing computer hardware and Linux operating systems. We meet after school in O’Plaine Room 258 from 3:25 until 4:00. All are welcome, bring a friend, and remember to arrange for your ride home. (Ferrara)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB - Are you a gamer? If so, stop by the Tabletop Gaming Club at O’Plaine in room 302 Tuesdays from 3:20 to 5:00 pm and play some of the best board games you've NEVER heard of. All are welcome. You can stay for as long or short as you want. We will be taking club pictures at our next meeting so wear something gamerly! (Harkins)

BLACK STUDENT UNION GENERAL MEETING - Join the Black Student Union for our general meeting, Tuesday, September 14th at 3:30pm in the O'Plaine campus cafeteria (by the windows). Almond students can take the shuttle to O'Plaine. Bring a friend & we will supply the SNACKS! We will have a short presentation & discussion followed by games. ALL ARE WELCOME! (Pulec)

SOUTH ASIAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION - Join us Thursday, September 16th from 3:20-4:00 pm in room 210 at O'Plaine! To explore the country, AFGHANISTAN! Learn about what's happening in Afghanistan! GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY FUNDRAISER - Support the Warren Girls Cross Country team by ordering some food from Lou Malnati's Pizzaria in Gurnee/Grayslake on Wednesday 9/15 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. No extra charges added, just order and mention Warren Girls Cross Country at time of order. Go Blue Devils! (Buddell)

PRACTICE SAT AND ACT AT WARREN NEWPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY - The Warren-Newport Public Library is hosting practice SAT and ACT exams through Huntington Learning Center. This is free to sophomores, juniors and seniors and is limited to the first 30 registered students. FIRST-GEN WORKSHOP - Sonia Sotomayor, Elizabeth Warren, Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Michele Obama. What do all these prominent leaders have in common? They’re all FIRST-GEN or FIRST-GENERATION college graduates. If you are the first in your family planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university and neither of your parents received a college degree, then YOU TOO are considered First-Gen! 33% of students pursuing higher ed are first-gen (US Dept of Ed) and did you know many Warren Teachers are also First-Gen!? The Library is hosting our first of many First-Gen Workshops on Tuesday, September 14th during 3rd period. ALL FIRST-GEN STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND! Come and find out why being first-gen is important and tips on study skills. Plan to arrive on time at the start of the period - attendance will be taken and excused.
