ADAPTED LEADERS PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS

Do you enjoy helping others, working with students with special needs? Then I would love to have your assistance in the adapted physical education class as a leader. Please attend the informational meeting with Ms. Barta, at the Almond campus this week at 2:20pm- 2:30pm in the PE classroom or see Mr. Fischetti at the O'Plaine campus this week to pick up an application. CAREER PRESENTATION: MEET A GOOGLE ENGINEER!

Are you interested in Engineering? Then come hear from Google Engineer, Todd Roesler, about his career, experience in the field and background. Todd is the Head of Electrical Hardware for Pixel Phones at Google. The presentation will be on Monday, November 11 during 2nd period in the O’Plaine College & Career Center (Room 258 by the Library). Those interested need to sign up in advance with Mrs. Hartley in the Main Office by the end of the school day on Friday, November 8. Attendance will be taken. (Hartley)

FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORE BOYS BASAKETBALL TRYOUTS

Tryouts for the Freshmen and Sophomore Boys Basketball teams will be held on Monday, November 11th, Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday November 13th. Tryouts will be held in the O'Plaine Gym. On Monday, November 11th the Freshmen Tryouts will run from 3:30 - 6 pm and the Sophomore Tryouts will run from 6 - 8:30 pm. In order to try out you must have a current physical on file and you must complete the online registration process. (Jasnoch)

 

ALMOND CAMPUS

COLLEGE PLANNING FOR JUNIORS PRESENTATION

Juniors! November is a great time to start thinking about planning for your life after high school. If you are ready to dig further into your options and start visiting college campuses, then plan to attend our annual College Planning for Juniors presentation TODAY! The presentation is offered to junior students during the lunch periods, for families at 3:00 p.m. in room 211 at the Almond Campus, and at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at the O'Plaine Campus. At 7:00pm, we welcome Admissions Representative, Kate McKay, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to present to students and families on the college search process. (McGahan)

IT’S NATIONAL FRENCH WEEK

French and English have a strong connection. In the Battle of Hastings in 1066, the Duke of Normandy became the King of England. He brought his French-speaking court to England, which led to many French words becoming an everyday part of English. At least 10,000 words in English come directly from French. (Kosonen)

CEC MEETING

The Council for Exceptional Children Club will hold the November Planning Meeting today, November 7th at 2:30 pm in room 320. Please join us to brainstorm the fun! New CEC members welcome! (Vandervort)

VARSITY BOYS BASKETBALL TRYOUTS

Tryouts for the Boys Varsity Basketball team will be held on Monday, November 11th, Tuesday, November 12th and Wednesday, November 13th. Varsity Tryouts will be held each day from 3:15 - 6:30 pm in the Almond Gym. You must have a current physical on file with the nurse and complete the online registration process in order to tryout. YOUNG AMERICANS FOR FREEDOM

Young Americans for Freedom will have its next general meeting today, November 7th, at 2:20 in the College and Career Center. Come and help us honor Freedom Week and the 30th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. (Hanlon)

DAILY LOANER CHROMEBOOKS AND CHARGERS

Please return the Daily Loaner Chromebooks or chargers to the Technology Clerk in the Library. Students will be charged a fee after the 2nd day if the Daily Loaner devices are not returned. Thank you! (Jedryszek)
