MARCHING BAND TAKES 1ST!

Congratulations to the Marching Blue Devils who took 1st place and top score of the day at the Grayslake North marching band contest Sunday. The group was also awarded trophies for best percussion and best color guard. The contest featured bands from Illinois and Wisconsin. Great Job!!! (Jenkins)

EL CLUB DE ESPAÑOL

Come to Spanish Club’s first informational meeting on Thursday, September 12th in room 204A after 8th period and learn about opportunities to engage in culture, language, customs, and food!  You do not have to take Spanish to be a part of this club, everyone is welcome.  See you there! (McCartney)

FBLA SEPTEMBER GENERAL MEETING

The FBLA September General Meeting is this Thursday, September 12th from 7-8pm in the O'plaine Auditorium. Come to our meeting to hear our guest speakers and learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities and social events. We will also be taking our yearbook photo. The theme is sports so wear your favorite sports apparel. (Vranek)

WARREN WELLNESS AMBASSADORS

Warren Wellness Ambassadors is a student lead club dedicated to building a positive community at Warren. Our next meeting will be this Thursday at 3:20 in the Faculty Cafeteria at the O’Plaine Campus. We will be discussing plans for our first quarter topic. New members are always welcome. RED CROSS CLUB

Hello Everyone! This is just a friendly reminder that there is NO Red Cross meeting this Wednesday as we meet every other Wednesday. Our next meeting will be September 18 at the O'Plaine Campus in Room 213 from 2:13-4 pm. We will be discussing what to do in a natural disaster as well as planning for our upcoming service kit service project. If you want to be a part of helping our community, get some volunteer hours, and have some fun, come join us! There will be free food, so come and spread the word! (Dalrymple)

FRENCH CLUB CAFÉ

Have you ever visited a French cafe? Do you want to take a sip of coffee, while eating croissants and eclairs, on the sidewalks of France? ART CLUB

WATER POLO OPEN POOL – THURSDAY @ 3:30

FIRST F.D.A. MEETING

Are you interested in Medicine or Sciences? Do you want to learn about volunteering and shadowing opportunities in the Healthcare field? MECS MEETING

There will be a MECS meeting today at 3:20pm in the O'Plaine Lecture Hall. We will be hosting a guest speaker who will be speaking about raising and releasing Monarch butterflies. We will also be organizing the Des Plaines River Clean-up scheduled for Sunday September 29, 2019 from 9-11am. Hope to see you there and bring a friend. (Boncher)

SOPHOMORE FIRST GEN WORKSHOP

Sophomores...Are you the first child in your family planning to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university after high school? Have neither of your parents received at least an Associate’s degree (a degree from CLC or other Community College)? Then YOU are considered “FIRST GENERATION” or “FIRST GEN!” TODAY, we are hosting our first Sophomore First Gen workshop in the library during 3rd period. PRE-SEASON WRESTLING MEETING

All students not participating in a fall sport and wishing to participate in wrestling this season must attend a brief informational meeting today in the cafeteria from 3:20 - 3:35. The Yearbook Club is looking for some OP representation. Please consider joining us during SIP days at the Almond Campus (we provide breakfast). WANT TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND SIGN UP FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS?

Come to the next Students of Service Meeting! S.O.S. is hosting a fun social gathering at our next meeting. We will be playing games and eating snacks- please join us in room 308 A on Tues., Sept. 17th and bring a friend. The meeting will take place after school. Late bus passes will be provided. CEC INFO MEETING

The WTHS Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Club is a social club for students with and without disabilities. The purpose of the club is to promote and foster a better understanding of the needs, acceptance, and self-worth of each member through social interactions at school and community events. CEC will hold the first informational and planning meeting this Thursday, September 12th from 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm in room 320. Please join us to learn more about the club. WRESTLING OPEN MATS AND LIFTING

All wrestlers not participating in a fall sport and wishing to participate in wrestling this season must attend the first open mats this Thursday, September 12 from 4:00 – 6:15. Bring cloths and shoes for both lifting and open mats. Please contact coach Janecek or Coach Ouimette if you cannot attend. (Janecek)

COLLEGE VISITS

Are you interested in learning about a particular college? A variety of college reps are scheduled to visit Warren students during the school year. To attend a college visit during the school day, you must be passing all classes and sign up in Naviance no later than one school day prior to the visit. Log into Naviance to see a complete list of colleges visiting and sign up. Check out tomorrow’s visits in the College & Career Center, Carthage College period 1, and Northwestern University period 5. HOMECOMING ALUMNI APPROVAL

During the week of September 9th thru the 13th, the Alumni Approval form will be available on the Warren Homecoming Page on the website.  Reminder, if you plan on bringing a date that is a Warren Alumni, you must fill out this form.  No outside guests are allowed.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Desiron or Mrs. Lainio. (Lainio)
