FIRST F.D.A. MEETING

Are you interested in Medicine or Sciences? Do you want to learn about volunteering and shadowing opportunities in the Healthcare field? Come join the Future Doctors of America for the first meeting on Wednesday, September 11 at O'Plaine from 3:30-4:00 in room 328. We will meet every other Wednesday. Late bus passes will be provided. BOYS LACROSSE INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Attention Boys Lacrosse: If you are interested, or want to know more about playing boys lacrosse in the spring, come to our informational meeting Tuesday after school from 3:30-4:00 in room 100B at the O'Plaine campus. Those of you in a fall sport, please see Coach Janczak at O'Plaine or Coach Eddy at Almond for information. (Janczak)

MUSLIM STUDENT ASSOCIATION

Come to the Muslim Student Association meeting on Tuesday, September 10th at the O'Plaine campus in room 221 from 3:30-4:00. Snacks and late bus passes will be provided. Everyone is welcome! (C. Thomas)

BOYS BASKETBALL OPEN GYM

Boys Basketball will host Open Gyms this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 7 - 8:30pm in the Almond Campus Gym. These Open Gyms are for Warren students only so you need to bring your ID to show that you are Warren student and $1. (Jasnoch)

THE BLACK SPECTRUM

Do you want to get to know yourself and your peers more? Come join BSU to have the opportunity to open up a variety of discussions with a fun filled activity on Tuesday, September 10th, 3:30 pm, at the O’Plaine cafeteria. Late bus passes will be provided! (Pulec)

MECS MEETING

There will be a MECS meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 3:20pm in the O'Plaine Lecture Hall. We will be hosting a guest speaker who will be speaking about raising and releasing Monarch butterflies. We will also be organizing the Des Plaines River Clean-up scheduled for Sunday September 29, 2019 from 9-11am. Hope to see you there and bring a friend. (Boncher)

PRIDE CLUB

Pride Club will be meeting after school this Tuesday instead of Thursday this week at the O'Plaine Campus in room 103. All are welcome! (Lidskin)

WALLFLOWER CLUB

Are you new to this school? Do you just need a buddy? Perhaps you just wanna break out of your shell and meet new people? Then the Wallflowers club is for you. We meet every Monday from 2:20-3:00pm at Almond Campus in room #241 and at 3:20-4:00pm at O'plaine campus in the faculty cafeteria. There will be games, crafts, bonding exercises and snacks. Feel free to stop by anytime all students are welcome!!! (Neal)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB

Huzzah! The dark days are gone. The Tabletop Gaming Club has returned! If you want to socialize while playing card, board and role-playing games, then this is the club for you. Join us Tuesday, September 10th in O'Plaine Room 302 from 3:25 to 5:00 pm and see what it's all about. (Harkins)

YOUTH AND GOVERNMENT 2ND MEETING

Future lawyers and politicians listen up! Youth and Government is having its second meeting of the year today. It’s not too late to learn about our group where we travel to Springfield and use the Capitol Building and Supreme Court to run a mock Illinois government. Come by after school to room 305B at O’Plaine. Late bus passes will be provided. (Oberhauser)

The next Tech Team meeting is after school today. We meet after school in O’Plaine Room 258 from 3:20 until 4:00. All are welcome, and late bus passes will be available. (Ferrara)

 

O’PLAINE CAMPUS

WANT TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND SIGN UP FOR VOLUNTEER HOURS?

Come to the next Students of Service Meeting! S.O.S. is hosting a fun social gathering at our next meeting. We will be playing games and eating snacks- please join us in room 308 A on Tues., Sept. 17th and bring a friend. The meeting will take place after school. Late bus passes will be provided. We are also looking for students who want to join us on our first outing to Northern IL Foodbank. Slots are filling up quickly so see Mrs. Juergensen for more details! (Juergensen)

 

ALMOND CAMPUS

PAYING FOR COLLEGE PRESENTATION

Attention Seniors! Do you know what the FAFSA is? Are you wondering how to pay for college? On Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the O'Plaine Auditorium, Warren is once again welcoming Julie Nelson from Xavier University to present on all topics related to financial aid. Remember the FAFSA opens up on October 1st, so come get information to be prepared for that piece of the process! (McGahan)

COLLEGE VISITS

Are you interested in learning about a particular college? A variety of college reps are scheduled to visit Warren students during the school year. To attend a college visit during the school day, you must be passing all classes and sign up in Naviance no later than one school day prior to the visit. Log into Naviance to see a complete list of colleges visiting and sign up. Check out tomorrow’s visits in the College & Career Center, Aurora University period 1, Ohio University period 2, Rockford University period 3, Washington University St. Louis period 4, John Hopkins University period 5 and Bucknell University period 7. HOMECOMING ALUMNI APPROVAL

During the week of September 9th thru the 13th, the Alumni Approval form will be available on the Warren Homecoming Page on the website.  Reminder, if you plan on bringing a date that is a Warren Alumni, you must fill out this form.  No outside guests are allowed.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Desiron or Mrs. Lainio. (Lainio)

YOUNG AMERICANS FOR FREEDON

Young Americans for Freedom will have its first informational meeting today at 3:30 pm in the College and Career Center. Come on out and bring your friends to hear about our plans for this year that includes a memorial planned before school on 9/11. Bring your friends!! (Hanlon)
