SKI CLUB

Attention ski club members! Registration for the Wilmot January 17th trip, Alpine Valley and Granite Peak Trip is open! Registration closes for these three trips on Tuesday, January 15th. If you plan on attending any of these trips please visit the ski club website to register for each. Registration will open at 4:00pm today. Please email me if you have any questions. (Burza)

ART CLUB

Art Club see you at the first meeting of the semester on Wednesday, January 16th, from 3:20 to 4 pm at the O'Plaine Campus in room 262! New members are welcome! (Keslinke)

ASVAB TEST

WTHS is hosting a 2019 ASVAB for interested students on Saturday, February 2nd at 9:00 a.m. in room 211 at the Almond Campus. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery assesses a student's ability to learn new skills and is a predictor of success in training and education programs. It produces Career Exploration Scores that can aid in the exploration of a wide variety of career options. The ASVAB is offered at no cost and no obligation to our high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Please sign-up in the Guidance Office by January 30th if you would like to take this free assessment. Contact your counselor if you have any questions. (McGahan)

DUBLIN & LONDON: SPRING BREAK TRIP

In three months, Warren's travel group, "Warren On Tour," will be in Paris and the Swiss Alps. But we're already looking ahead at next year's trip! We are excited to announce that we will spend Spring Break 2020 in Dublin Ireland and London England. The trip is open to all current Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. Please come to our mandatory parent meeting next Thursday, January 17, at 6pm in the O'Plaine campus library to learn more. Email Mr. Vanlaningham if you have questions. (Vanlaningham)

TECH TEAM

Please join us at the next Tech Team meeting. We will meet after school today in O’Plaine Room 258. All are welcome and late bus passes are available. (Ferrara)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB

Are you a gamer? If so stop by the Tabletop Gaming Club at O’Plaine in room 302 next Tuesday from 3:15 to 5:00 pm and play some of the best board games you've never heard of. If you ordered custom dice, come in and pick them up. Late bus passes will be provided. All are welcome. (Harkins)

SASA MEETING

South Asian Student Association will have its next meeting on Thursday, January 17th in room 210 at the O'Plaine Campus at 3:15. We'll be watching videos on and discussing India's politics, economy, and society. Everyone is welcome and late bus passes will be provided. (Cordova)

SOFTBALL INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Anyone not in a winter sport interested in trying out for softball there will be an important informational meeting today at 3:30 in the O'Plaine lecture hall. We will be discussing tryouts and off season workouts. If you cannot attend contact Coach Charbonneau for more information. (Charbonneau)

 

O’PLAINE CAMPUS

BOYS TRACK INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Attention all boys interested in joining the track program this year. There will be a mandatory informational meeting after school on Tuesday, January 15th in the lecture hall at 3:30. Late bus passes will be provided. If you cannot attend the meeting please contact Coach Williams. (Williams)

MAKE-UP EXAMS – O’PLAINE CAMPUS

MAKE UP EXAMS-O’PLAINE CAMPUS- Exams will be offered at the O’Plaine Campus in the testing center from 3:25 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, January 15, 2019
  • Wednesday, January 16, 2019

There is a late bus on Tuesday, January 15 at 4:45 pm only. There is a late bus at 4:00 pm on Wednesday. If you need to stay later on those days, you are responsible for your own transportation home. (Spino)

Freshman and Sophomores: Do you want to make friends and meet new people? Come to the Wallflower Club meeting today after school from 3:30 til 4 in the Teacher's Break Room in the back of the cafeteria. (Neal)

STUDENTS OF SERVICE

S.O.S. will hold their first general meeting next week, on Wed., Jan. 16th in room 308A beginning at 3:25 PM. We will be discussing first semester accomplishments and accepting ideas for volunteer outings this semester. New members are welcome! (Juergensen)

ATTENTION SENIORS

All graduating seniors are invited to compete for an opportunity to speak at the commencement ceremony.  If you are interested in making an address at commencement, an application can be picked up from Mrs. Timan in the Principal’s Office, room 204. Applications received by Friday, February 22, 2019 will be considered by the screening committee. (Timan)

SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP MEETING
