BOYS LACROSSE PARENT / PLAYER INFORMATIONAL MEETING

There will be an important parent/player informational meeting this Thursday at 7pm in the O'Plaine lecture hall for any and all boys interested in playing lacrosse this spring who are not currently in a sport. The meeting will cover tryouts, the spring season, and fundraising. If you are unable to make the meeting, please see Coach Eddy at Almond or Coach Janczak at O'Plaine for the information.  (Janczak)

WATER POLO OPEN POOL

Hello everyone! If you would like to come to a Water Polo Open pool please come by to the O'Plaine Pool on Saturday November 10th from 10:00 to 11:00 am. (Whelan)

P.E. LEADERS CLASS OF 2019-2020

Are you interested in being a leader? Do you enjoy working with students who have special needs? Then we would love to have you as a peer tutor/leader in our adapted physical education class 2 period next year at the Almond campus. For Almond students, Please attend a short mandatory meeting Monday Nov. 12th, in the PE classroom at 2:20pm until 2:40pm. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Barta at sbarta@wths.net . BLACK STUDENT UNION

Black Student Union will be meeting today, November 6th at 3:30 in the O'Plaine cafeteria. Come out to play some games, eat snacks and have thoughtful discussions. All are welcome and late bus passes will be provided. (Bertola)

ART CLUB

Get excited for Dream Boards this week in art club on Wednesday, Nov. 7th in room 262 at the O'Plaine campus. Wednesday is the last day for field trip forms and paying the fee. See Mrs. Keslinke if you have any questions or need a field trip form. (Keslinke)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB

Are you a gamer? If so stop by the Tabletop Gaming Club at O’Plaine in room 302 today from 3:15 to 5:00 pm and play some of the best board games you've never heard of. Late bus passes will be provided. All are welcome. (Harkins)

BOYS SWIMMING AND DIVING

Attention all boys interested in trying out for the 2018-2019 boys swimming and diving team. Season begins Monday, November 19th, 2018 at 3:30pm, and all swimmers and divers are expected to attend all practices on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. All Swimmers and Divers must register, and have a current physical on file before the first day of try-outs. Please go to the athletic page to register. O’PLAINE CAMPUS

BASEBALL!

All freshman and sophomore baseball players, there will be a informational meeting Thursday, November 8th in the O.P. café at 3:25pm.  Please make every effort to attend even if you are in another sport.  The meeting will last about 15 min and late bus passes will be provided.  (Smothers)

Christians In Action is a faith-based club that includes fellowship, prayer, discussion, games, service, events, and more. We will meet tomorrow at 7:30am in Room 241. Please join us - it is open to everybody! (Dunn)

STUDENT FAN BUS

Attention ALL students- come out and support your Warren Blue Devil football team as they travel to Chicago to take on Brother Rice in a IHSA quarterfinal showdown Saturday night!  There will be a student fan bus.  Cost is $10 which includes the cost of the ticket also.  Bus will leave at 4 PM from O’Plaine on Saturday.  Please see Ms. Hesse, the bookkeeper, by the attendance office to purchase a ticket.  Tickets will be sold until Friday morning.  Buy quick before they sell out! ALMOND CAMPUS

NATIONAL FRENCH WEEK FACT OF THE DAY

Our own school mascot has French origins! The name comes from the French "Diables Bleus" (dee-ah-bleh-bloo <-like good) or "the Blue Devils," which was the nickname given during World War I to the Chasseurs Alpins (sha-sir-ahl-pehn), the French Alpine light infantry battalion. They had unique training and alpine knowledge and wore distinctive blue uniforms that gave them their name. (Kosonen)

JUNIOR SEMINAR

Junior seminar is TODAY for juniors with the last name starting with A-Ch who have Mr. Heupel as their counselor. The short seminar will be held in the College and Career Center at the START of each lunch period. Bring your charged chromebook and please be prompt. You will receive important information about the senior year course selection process and a chance to review your transcript. (Ecklund)

JOSTENS CAP & GOWN / ANNOUNCEMENT PACKET PICK UP

Jostens will be at the Almond Campus on Monday, November 12, during all lunch periods to hand out cap and gown packets that will include ordering information. Please stop by the Jostens table outside of the cafeteria during your lunch period to pick-up a packet on Monday, November 12. Extra packets will be available in Room 204 and at the front office reception desk if they are not picked up on November 12. Jostens will return to collect orders November 19-21. Stop by the Gallery during your lunch period to place your order. (Timan)
