JAZZ ENSEMBLE

Congratulations to the Jazz Ensemble on winning Grand Champion at Jazz in the Meadows on Saturday! They won class 4A to advance to the finals where they competed against other class winners to win Grand Champion. The trumpet section also won the section award for class 4A. It was the first time in 12 years Warren had won class 4A and the first time in 13 years Warren took home grand champion. (Tribley)

TABLETOP GAMING CLUB

The Tabletop Gaming Club is a social club where we hang out and play board, card and role-playing games. Experience or knowledge of the game rules is NOT required. No fees. Just show up and have fun. We meet Wednesdays after school in the O'Plaine library until 5pm. Bus passes are provided.  (Harkins)

MATH TEAM MEET

Attention Math Team--Our Conference Meet is today, Wednesday, March 4th. Please meet by 4:00 at the North Entrance of OP as Mr. Vranek will be driving the activity bus. Please make sure to bring money for dinner as we will be stopping at the Lake Forest Oasis for dinner. And, don't forget to RSVP to our End of the Season Pizza Party, which will take place on Thursday, March 5th.  Please reach out to Mrs. Stites or Mr. Vranek with any questions! (Stites)

 

O’PLAINE CAMPUS

UPCOMING O’PLAINE COLLEGE REP VISITS

Representatives from UW – Whitewater will be here Thursday, March 5, 5th Period in the College & Career Center (room 258). Other schools coming this semester include U of I, ISU, Marquette, Indiana University, Milwaukee School of Engineering and more! See the full visit schedule and info on how to attend by scanning the QR code on flyers around school or in your WTHS email inbox. Students may attend up to 3 visits per semester and attendance will be taken. See Ms. Hartley in the College & Career Center with any questions. (Hartley)

SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP FOR FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES

Did you know that you don't have to be a senior to start applying for scholarships? Get tips to search and apply for scholarships at this workshop on FRIDAY, MARCH 6 during your lunch study hall in the Library (traveling Band students can come with their lunch the first part of 7th). Report straight to the Library at the start of your lunch study hall with your charged Chromebook! Attendance will be taken - see you there! (Hartley)

ALMOND CAMPUS

STUDENTS OF CHICAGO MEETING

Come celebrate Chicago's birthday, (one day late), and learn all about the traditions related to St. Patrick's Day.  The club will provide details and plans so that you too can be "Chirish" for one weekend as the city turns green.  You are encouraged to wear green to the meeting too! (M.Fischetti)

HBCU COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS EVENT

Warren is excited to partner with Waukegan High School to co-host a Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) Community Connections Event on Thursday, March 5th from 9:30-11:30 a.m in the Black Box Theater. During the event, students will have the opportunity to learn about the HBCU experience, hear from current HBCU students who are Lake County HS alumni, and meet with HBCU College Admissions staff and local professionals. Space is limited, so students need to pre-register via SchooLinks under Events for this HBCU event. Use your Warren Google to login. Students must report at the start of 2nd period and will be excused from their academic classes.  No late entries will be permitted.  Questions? Contact Mrs. McGahan in the CCC. (McGahan)

ATTENTION SENIORS

As a part of our graduation ceremony, we traditionally invite all interested seniors to compete for an opportunity to deliver a speech to the graduating class.  If you are interested, you can find an application on the WTHS website on the graduation page.  Please submit your application and recorded video of your speech no later than Tuesday, March 31, 2026. OUTSIDE PROM GUEST REQUEST FORMS DUE THURSDAY!!

If you’re planning on bringing an outside guest to prom (including any O’Plaine student), you must complete the request form by 3:00 pm this Thursday, March 5. No exceptions will be made. Students can find the request form on Canvas and the prom page of the WTHS website. If filled out correctly, you will receive a confirmation email. Please print it out and save it for your records. CHICAGO SKYSCRAPERS

The History of Chicago classes have brought the Chicago skyline to WTHS! After four days of constructing their 3D models of iconic Chicago buildings, they are now on display in the library. Come to the library on your off periods to check them out and vote for your favorite building! (Duff)
