WINTER DANCE TICKETS

Tomorrow is the last day to buy your Winter Dance ticket. Go to Activities on the Warren Website and click on Activities and Winter Dance. Tickets are only $15 and there will be lots of fun to be had by all!  (Desiron)

CITYSCAPE SPIRIT DAY:  THURSDAY

The CityScape winter dance spirit days continue tomorrow with "Represent your favorite city or college" Day. Dress to represent your favorite city or college! (Desiron)

FRENCH HONOR SOCIETY APPLICATIONS

Are you a sophomore or junior in French class?  Then this announcement is for you!  French Honor Society applications for the 2025-26 school year are open now.  Sophomores, you may pick up a flyer with information and the link in the O'Plaine main office or email Madame Mason at amason@wths.net for the link.  Applications are due on Friday, February 14 so apply today! GIRLS WATER POLO

Girls water polo has 3 more weeks of pre-season conditioning! Open Gyms are for strength and conditioning and will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30-4 in the weight room. Open Pools are Wednesdays before school from 6-7:15am where we will build skills that are needed to play the game. Open Gyms and Pools are optional but highly encouraged if you are interested in joining the team. Please email Coach Amrein (camrein@wths.net)  with questions. (Amrein)

MATH TEAM

Attention Math Team! Our 4th Meet of the year is this Thursday, February 6th. Please meet by 5:00 PM at the pool entrance of OP. Make sure to grab dinner beforehand and let Mrs. Stites and Mr. Vranek know if you will be attending! See you on Thursday, Mathletes! (Stites)

CROCHET

Crochet Club will be meeting after school today, Wednesday at the O'Plaine Library starting at 3:20. Late bus passes will be provided! Experience is not required. See you there! (Ginter)

INTERNATIONAL CLUB

International Club will be hosting their Valentine’s Day meeting today, Wednesday, February, 5th from 3:30pm to 4:15pm in the O’Plaine Faculty Cafeteria. Come learn about the origin of the holiday and join us for snacks & crafts! Bring a friend and late bus passes will be provided. (Bohorquez)

FBLA COMMUNITY SERVICE BAKE SALE

FBLA's Community Service Committee is hosting a bake sale today, Wednesday February 5th at Almond near the main entrance from 2:30-4:30. CAMINO A COLLEGE

On Thursday, February 6 we are hosting our annual Camino a College presentation at 7 pm in the O’Plaine Auditorium. This presentation is entirely in Spanish for our Freshmen and Sophomore Spanish-speaking families. Learn from an admissions rep about preparing for college, starting your college search, what college admissions reps look for in an applicant, locating scholarships and more! If you are considering college and want to hear how to enhance your college application and resume starting NOW, plan to attend this beneficial night. We hope to see you there! (Hartley)

SOS GENERAL MEETING IS FEBRUARY 11TH

Students of Service members: please join us on Tues., February 11th, for our next general meeting. We have several new volunteering opportunities for this semester (over 100 openings) which you will be invited to sign up for. Remember, you need to make the minimum 2 outings  and to attend 3 general meetings to be considered a formal member. At this meeting, we have a Valentine's Day themed breakout room so bring you charged chromebooks! Sweets and late bus passes will be provided. We hope you'll join us! (Juergensen)

SNHS FEBRUARY GENERAL MEETING

SNHS Members: Please join us for our February General Meeting at 2:25 in room 117! We will be discussing upcoming events and sharing recent Sociedad highlights. Afterward, we will create Valentine's Day cards for our mentee students at Woodland! See your email to sign-up for the Valentine's Day cards and we hope to see you there! LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP FOR SENIORS

Who LOVES money for college? I know we all do! Seniors & Junior Early Grads, come spend your lunch on Friday, February 7th to learn about our local scholarships offered to you!  In our annual iHeart Scholarships Workshop, we will show you how to access, submit and earn these scholarships in SchooLinks.  The workshop is offered during the “A” portion of periods 3-6. Please bring your Chromebook and attend the workshop during your designated lunch or study hall period.  Questions? Contact Mrs. McGahan in the CCC or your counselor. (McGahan)

ATTENTION SENIORS!

As a part of our graduation ceremony, we traditionally invite all interested seniors to compete for an opportunity to deliver a speech to the graduating class.  If you are interested, you can find an application on the WTHS website on the graduation page.  Please submit your application and recorded video of your speech no later than Monday, March 31, 2025.  (Parrott)
