LANGUAGE CELEBRATION

Do you know that our students speak over fifty languages at Warren? In honor of our diversity and to celebrate our languages we plan to say good morning in a different language our students speak each week.  This week, our language is Korean. Good morning in Korean is joh-eun achim-ieyo. 

SOLATO GELATO IS HERE!

Attention students! Looking for a sweet treat this week? Solato Gelato is here! We will be serving up fresh gelato at both the Almond and O'Plaine campuses every day this week, January 12th through the 16th.  Please stop by to grab one of our three featured flavors: Salted Caramel, Cold Brew, or Mango. Don’t miss out!

DODGEBALL

Join us for WTHS's ultimate dodgeball showdown.  This is a high energy, co-ed dodgeball tournament where teams battle it out while proudly representing their favorite color. Assemble your team of 6-8 players (6 on the court at a time), suit up head-to-toe in your chosen color, and compete for bragging rights and a championship t-shirt in this fast paced showdown.  This one day dodgeball tournament will take place in the Almond gym on Sunday, February 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Register your team today on the Gurnee Park District website. SUPERNATURAL CLUB

Join Supernatural Club tomorrow at 3:20 at O'Plaine room 205 to test out equipment professional ghost hunters use! This is where you belong if you want detect or connect with spirits that roam our halls! We are also sharing a special announcement about fundraising! As always, late bus passes are available. BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

Information meeting Thursday, January 15 at 3:30pm at O'Plaine Cafeteria. Tryouts begin on Tuesday, January 20 at 3:30pm at the O'Plaine campus cafeteria. IT’S TIME TO TALK! BRING CHANGE 2 MIND!

Mental health affects all of us, yet it’s the one thing we rarely talk about. Join the brand-new Bring Change 2 Mind (BC2M) club! We are a student-led group dedicated to ending the stigma around mental health through conversation, fun activities, and school-wide events. Come help us build a community where everyone feels safe to be themselves.

Our first meeting will be Tuesday, January 13 from 3:20-4:00 in room 100A at O'Plaine Campus. Bring a friend and join us! Late bus passes will be provided. Email Mrs. Loiben with any questions (eloiben@wths.net).

E-SPORTS

E-Sports is about to start its Spring Season and our informational meeting to play competitively is Tuesday, January 13th. We are currently recruiting players for Overwatch, Madden, NBA 2k, Rocket League, FC Soccer Club, Valorant, and Pokemon Unite. If you are interested in playing any of these games competitively, you must come to our informational meeting. We hope to see you at our next meeting, Tuesday, January 13th, in room 258 at 3:20pm in O'Plaine's College and Career Center. MECS MEETING

MECS, Warren's environmental club will be having its first meeting of the second semester on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 3:20pm in room 244. We will be organizing for the second semester and continue working on our project. If you're still looking for a way to get involved, we always welcome new members. TRICOCI UNIVERSITY’S ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP OPEN NOW! 

Are you interested in learning more about the beauty industry? Have you dreamed of becoming a stylist, hair colorist, esthetician or makeup artist?  Tricoci University's Annual High School Scholarship application is now open for submissions!  Award is $3500 scholarship per Tricoci University campus.  We have 15 campuses across Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin.  Application accessible in Schoolinks as well as directly online through: www.tricociuniversity.edu. EXCHANGE CLUB OF GURNEE MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP DUE FRIDAY JANUARY 30th

The Exchange Club of Gurnee sponsors 6  Monthly $400 Scholarship Awards. Deadline for the JANUARY award is FRIDAY, 1/30/26. A paper application needs to be turned in to the Student Services Secretary. (Maggiore)

ENGINEERING AT UIUC SESSION

Are you interested in learning more about Engineering at UIUC?  Curious about what events like IlliniFest and Explore Grainger are all about?  Visit the CCC during 4th period on Tuesday, January 13th to meet with current students with the National Society of Black Engineers at UIUC to learn more! Students must be passing their academic 4th period class to attend.  If needed, students may bring their lunch as well.  Please report at the beginning of the period.  Questions?  Contact Mrs. McGahan in the CCC. MR. WARREN CONTESTANTS

Calling all Senior Boys! The 9th annual Mr Warren pageant is coming on February 28th and we can't have the pageant without you! The only thing required of contestants is that you are enthusiastic, outgoing, and fun! There are prizes for all contestants. And whomever is crowned Mr Warren will receive a free prom ticket! I’M FIRST WORKSHOP

All junior or senior students who are the first in their family to attain a college degree are welcome to attend our next I’m First workshop today, Monday, January 12th during 3rd period in the College & Career Center! We will learn about our upcoming field trip to the University of Illinois at Chicago and talk about scholarships!  Hope you can join us! (McGahan)
