LANGUAGE CELEBRATION

Do you know that our students speak over fifty languages at Warren? In honor of our diversity and to celebrate our languages we plan to say good morning in a different language our students speak each week.  This week, our language is Portuguese. Good morning in Portuguese is Bom Dia. 

CAFETERIA NEWS FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 9TH

Thursday, April 9th state testing will take place.  The cafeteria will be open at both campuses for breakfast as usual, and will be open anytime after that for grab & go lunch until 1pm. (Isaacson)

LINK CREW 2026-2027

Thank you to all the students who applied to be a Link Crew Leader next year. The application deadline was Friday, April 3rd. If you successfully submitted your application, you should have received a confirmation email from Ms. Cross over the weekend. If you did not receive a confirmation email from Ms. Cross, then your application was not submitted.  

If you think you submitted your application and did not receive a confirmation, contact Ms. Cross via email at ecross@wths.net  by 3:15 on Tuesday 4/7.  (Cross)

 

O’PLAINE CAMPUS

WORK PERMITS

If you are under the age of 16 the Illinois Department of Labor requires you to have a work permit.  Once you are hired you will need to bring the letter of intent to hire from your employer, a copy of your social security card, and you will need to have a current physical.  You should check with the nurse to make sure your physical has not expired.  Once you have all your documents, bring them to Mrs. Ellis in student services. JOIN THE STUDENTS OF SERVICE FOR OUR APRIL MEETING!

The Students of Service will hold our general meeting on Tues., April 7th this month. We will have some new volunteer outings with organizations that we have not yet worked with and will host a fun post-easter egg hunt. Join us in the Blue Devil's Conference Room after school. ALMOND CAMPUS

I’M FIRST WORKSHOP

Our next I'm First workshop will take place today, Monday, April 6th during 6th period in the Almond College and Career Center.  All interested junior or senior students who are the first in their family to go to college are welcome to attend!  We will talk about our upcoming ACT test and summer college application workshop and how to commit and complete your senior action steps.  Contact Mrs. McGahan with questions.  (McGahan)

SENIORS: ADMITTED STUDENT VISIT WITH ILLINOIS STATE  UNIVERSITY ON APRIL 7TH

Are you an ADMITTED student to Illinois State  University? Come to the College & Career Center to learn more, ask questions and to meet with university representatives period 5, TUESDAY, APRIL 7th. (Maggiore) 

U.S. ARMY NATIONAL GUARD VISITS THIS WEEK

Representatives from the US ARMY NATOINAL GUARD  will be outside the cafeteria, Tuesday, April 7th -- periods 3-6. Stop by their informational table during your lunch period if you would like more info or have questions! (Maggiore) 

RETURN DAILY LOANER CHROMEBOOKS

Please return the Daily Loaner Chromebooks to the technology staff in the library today. We applied fees to students’ accounts for the unreturned loaner devices. Thank you. (Jedryszek)

SNHS APRIL GENERAL MEETING

Please join Spanish National Honor Society for our April General Meeting on Wednesday, April 8th from 5-6pm in room 211. We will celebrate the arrival of spring by painting flower pots and creating decorative plants. Come in bright spring-inspired colors to enjoy a night of creativity and fun! FRENCH HONOR SOCIETY DONATION DRIVE

Help the French Honor Society support Lake County Haven as they open a brand-new third house for homeless women and children! From April 6th–15th, we are collecting personal and cleaning supplies to help our neighbors in need. Please bring your donations to the Almond Main Office or Almond Room 217 to help these families achieve permanent, independent living. Scan the QR code on the colorful flyers around the school to see the full list of items needed. Let’s show the community how Warren supports our neighbors! (Mason)
