1. Video Crew on Campus (Almond) 4/28/26

Lights, Camera, Action!

A video production company will be present at the Almond campus on Tuesday April 28.

  • No one needs to do anything special, or dress any differently, but we wanted everyone to know there will be cameras capturing a "day in the life" of some of our students.

  • If a Staff member or Student is going to be featured/interviewed, we will communicate that with them directly and in advance to get appropriate permissions.

  • Pretend like the crew is not even there and be your normal Everyday Awesome.

2. Meningococcal Vaccine for the Class of 2027

Proof of Meningitis Vaccination required for Class of 2027

  • In order to comply with Illinois School Code it is mandatory that all members of the Class of 2027 have proof of meningitis vaccination on file with the school nurse before starting school in August.

Proof of Vaccination can be:

  • Uploaded during the online registration process

  • Emailed (anurse@wths.net)

  • Faxed (847-548-7171) or 

  • Dropped off at the Almond Campus

3. Lake Region Illinois Principal Association Recognition Ceremony

Congrats to the following students who were honored at the Lake Region Illinois Principals Association Recognition Ceremony last week.

4. Cumulative Assessments Schedule

Cumulative Assessments (Finals) will take place May 21, 22, 26. 


IMPORTANT FACTS:  

  • Cumulative assessments are taken according to their assigned dates and times.  

  • Cumulative assessments are not administered early.  

  • Make-up opportunities for excused absences are offered on May 22 and May 26, as well as during the summer by appointment.

  • Please see links above for the assessment schedule, transportation information, and student expectations for each campus.

5. Science Olympiad - State Champions

Congratulations to our Science Olympiad team members and coaches Geoff Olson and John Gray on a successful individual qualifier state tournament!

  • Warren had 10 students become state champions in 8 different events!

  • Congratulations to the following who earned a 1st place medal:

    • Iniya Saravanan and Lucie Phillips: Astronomy and Remote Sensing

    • Gabriel Vinnik and Nicole Lau: Electric Vehicle

    • Joseph Borucki and Clement Bedwell: Circuit Lab

    • Clement Bedwell and Gabriel Vinnik: Machines

    • Iniya Saravanan and Arsalan Enayathulla: Rocks and Minerals

    • Rohan Nitin Rao and Lucas Steres: Hovercraft

    • Nicole Lau and Gabriel Dowling: Disease Detectives
