1. Academic Supports

We are encouraging students to finish the semester strong and utilize academic support as they prepare for cumulative assessments. 

What this includes:

  • Math Resource Room support is available during all lunch periods at each campus.

  • In person Study Tables are offered at both campuses after school on Tuesday and Thursday for support in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

  • Twilight Study Tables will be offered at night from 6-9 PM online for students in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Students need to sign up by 12 PM to reserve a slot.

  • Students will have access to free online chat based tutoring 24/7 through Varsity Tutors. Students access that site through the district Clever portal.

Our annual Athletic Booster Club Golf Outing registration is now open!  

  • Join WTHS coaches, teachers, alumni, administrators, and community members in a day of golf benefiting WTHS athletics. 

  • The outing will be held on Friday, June 12 at Bittersweet Golf Course.

4. Collegiate Commitment Ceremony

The athletic department will host the final Collegiate Commitment Ceremony for athletes committing to play at the next level on Wednesday, April 29 in the Black Box Theatre.

Take Action: Any athletes that would like to be recognized should contact their WTHS coach by 4/20 if they have not already.

5. Lake County Tech Campus Students Recognized

The Lake County Tech Campus is an extension for our Almond Campus students to attend classes in a specific career training program.

  • Students use program-specific mathematics, science reasoning, language arts, and technology in real-world applications.

  • Congratulations to the following Tech Campus students who were recognized as “Student of the Quarter” for Quarter 3 by their instructor:

    • Sally Abbott, Julious Alfaro, Timothy Bartholomew, Daniel Calderon, Destiny Coleman, Troy Donelson, Breanna Ebanks, Reina Garcia, Aliana Gomez, Luis Gutierrez-Contreras, Scarlette McCann, Kyle Miron, Alan Tapia, Moriah Vega, and Kinga Zymon.
