SUBJECT: Notice of Public Hearing for the Consideration of the Renewal of the District’s eLearning Program in Lieu of Scheduled Emergency Days

Dear Parents and Guardians:

As required by Section 10-20.56 of the Illinois School Code (105 ILCS 5/10-20.56), I am writing to notify you of a public hearing to consider renewal of the district’s eLearning Program.  The eLearning program will allow student instruction to be received electronically while students are not physically present in lieu of the district’s scheduled emergency days, while continuing to provide our students with the best educational opportunities.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.  This meeting will be held in the Almond Campus Library, and an official notice will be published at least 48 hours prior to the hearing.  Opportunities for public comment will be provided.  The terms of the program will be substantially presented at the hearing and an opportunity for public comments will be provided.
