      • 2024 Homecoming Information

         

        Homecoming Parade Application:

        • The Homecoming parade will be held Saturday September 28th at 9 am with staging time at 8 am, lineup will begin at 8:30 am (Gurnee Police Department back parking lot). 
        • Any WTHS organization/activity/sport or Community Organization interested in participating in the Homecoming Parade will need to fill out an application.

        Homecoming Dance Information: 

        • The Homecoming dance will be held at the O'Plaine Campus on Saturday, September 28th from 6:30pm-9:30pm. 
        • We will have an indoor/outdoor dance. 
        • The indoor portion of the dance will be in the gym and have a DJ and dancing. 
        • The outdoor portion of the dance will be in the parking lot and have food trucks (at an extra cost), free games and interactive activities, TWO photo booths, an outdoor dance area, and more! 
        • Students are able to move freely from one area to another. 
        • The Homecoming dance is a semi-formal event.

        Homecoming Dance Ticket Sales:

        • Only current WTHS students and Approved WTHS Alumni will be permitted entry to the dance. No other outside guests are allowed. Submit the Alumni Guest Form by Thursday, 9/19/24 for guest approval and look for an email with further instructions to purchase a guest ticket.
        • Ticket sales will be available on Monday, September 9 through Wednesday, September 25, 2024 via the Webstore for $25.  Click here for tickets.
        • Ticket sales are final. No refunds.

        Homecoming Dance Alumni Request Form

        • Only WTHS Alumni (under the age of 21) are permitted to attend the dance as a guest of a current WTHS student. 
        • Submit this Alumni Guest Form by Thursday, 9/19/24 for guest approval.
        • Once your guest has been approved you will receive an email with instructions.

        Homecoming T-Shirt Sales:

        • Homecoming T-shirts will be sold separately from the dance ticket.  Shirts will be available to purchase for $9 Monday, August 26 through September 6, 2024. Click here to order your 2024 Homecoming t-shirt!

        • We are excited to announce that Powder Puff football game will be back again this year!  All WTHS students are welcome to attend this FREE event with their student ID.  The games are at 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Football Stadium.  Up to 4 family members per Powder Puff player are also invited to attend.  

        Wednesday Sept 27th

        • Across the Galaxy Day: wear your class' galaxy color
          • Freshmen wear WHITE
          • Sophomores wear PURPLE
          • Juniors wear BLUE
          • Seniors wear BLACK
          • Staff wear GREY or SILVER

        Thursday Sept 28th

        • Come on Barbie, Let's Go Party Day: dress like Barbie or Ken or wear lots of Pink!
        • Freshmen Football game: 4:45 p.m. Football Stadium

        Friday Sept 29th

        • Eclipse with School Spirit Day: wear Blue and Gold!
        • pep rally at all school assembly during the school day (assembly schedule will be in effect)
        • Varsity Soccer and Football Games:  Come out and cheer on the Blue Devils at 5 and 7 p.m.

        Saturday September 30th

        • Homecoming Parade:  Parade will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Gurnee Police Department parking lot and head north on O'Plaine Road. The parade will conclude at the North lot of the O'Plaine Campus.
        • JV Football Game: 11:00 a.m. Football Stadium
        • Homecoming Dance: The dance will be held from 6:30 - 9:30 pm at the O'Plaine Campus Gym and outside in the parking lot.  There will be food trucks, dancing, games, a photo booth and more! 

      Parade

      • When: Saturday, September 28, 2024
        Time: 9:00 a.m  
        Where: Beginning at Gurnee Police Department parking lot and heading north on O'Plaine Road to the O'Plaine campus.

        The Homecoming parade route changed a couple years ago!!

        • The WTHS Homecoming "Once Upon a Homecoming" themed parade will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Gurnee Police Department West parking lot and head north on O'Plaine Road.
        • The parade will conclude at the North lot of the O'Plaine Campus.  

        We hope to see our community out to support our Blue Devils this year!! 

        • If you are interested in participating in our parade please fill out the 2024 Parade Application form. Any WTHS organization/activity/sport or Community Organization interested in participating is invited to apply.
        • All applications are due by Monday, September 23, 2024.   
        • You will receive instructions and line up order on Wednesday the 25th by 4pm.
        • The Homecoming parade will be held Saturday September 28, 2024 at 9 am with staging beginning at 8 am. 

      Dance

      • When:  Saturday, September 30th, 2023
        Time:   6:30pm-9:30pm

        Homecoming Dance Information:

        • Students are able to move from one portion to the other when they want. 
        • Dress code is semi-formal. Many students choose to wear comfortable shoes. 

        Homecoming Dance Ticket Sales:

        • Only current WTHS students and Approved WTHS Alumni will be permitted entry to the dance. No other outside guests are allowed.  Submit this Alumni Guest Form by Thursday, 9/21/23 for guest approval and look for an email with further instructions to purchase a guest ticket.  
        • Ticket sales will be available on September 11 through September 27, 2023 on the Webstore for $25.    
        • Students may purchase tickets regardless of overdue fees.

          Dances are a privilege for students of WTHS to attend.

        • WTHS students must present their current school ID upon entering any school-sponsored dance.
        • All school dances and events are drug and alcohol free events.
        • In order to attend, all students and outside guests must remain drug and alcohol free for the duration of the event.
        • By purchasing a ticket and attending the dance or event, students agree to all rules and conditions of a Warren Township High School function.
        • All rules in the Student Handbook will be enforced.
        • In addition, dancing that is defined as sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate will not be allowed. Students will be given one warning and additional contact with staff will result in the parent or guardian being notified and the student will be removed from the dance.
        • If students are unable to adhere to the requirements, parents will be notified and appropriate action will be taken including but not limited to: school discipline, referral to local law enforcement, loss of privilege to attend future dances and/or events.
