• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) Projects

Warren Township High School in partnership with Trane Chicago engaged in a series of HVAC projects to replace/upgrade the aging building automation systems at both buildings as well as the boiler and domestic hot water infrastructure at O’Plaine Campus.

    • The building automation systems were upgraded due to obsolescence and inoperability with ancillary equipment.
    • The new building automation system unites the campuses into one system and brings the district up to the latest technology that will provide the best environment for students and staff.

The upgrade will also help the District plan for future expansion and equipment replacement while doing so cost effectively.

    • The upgrade achieved an incentive/rebate from ComEd of $204,120.00 and will also achieve estimated year over year energy savings of $60,000 - $80,000.

As of May, 2019, this project is now complete and the district can begin to realize the energy savings.
