Project Failsafe is an early intervention program. It is aimed at providing tutoring, organizational assistance and transition support to regular education freshmen who are failing one or more of the core classes within the first five weeks of school. Students will be identified by counselors and teachers as candidates for this program. After the five week mark, students with a D and/or a F in one or more core courses will be placed in the mandatory failsafe tutorial study hall. If the student has no study hall they will be removed from an elective and placed in Failsafe. Additional students will be added during the year as counselors monitor students’ grades in the core courses.
