  • Bridges 2020 Summer School Program

    The Bridges Evening Program offers a summer school program that follows the same summer school calendar as day school.  This year, we will be utilizing a remote learning format.  Students will continue working on our online self-paced A+ program.  There are no summer school fees for the Bridges Program. 

    Dates for Summer 2020:
    June 1 – July 9

    Teacher support will be available from 1pm to 4pm Monday through Thursday during the summer sessions.  Please refer to the schedule below for teacher support information during the summer sessions.

    Contacting Technology Support during Summer School 2020

    If you have an issue with your Chromebook or with accessing PowerSchool, Canvas, Outlook E-Mail, or other technologies please fill out the tech request form.

    If your Chromebook is malfunctioning and in need of repair you can swap it for a loaner device at the Almond campus security desk M-Th from 9 AM - 10 AM and 2 PM - 3 PM. 

    A+ Students:  Please remember to email Mr. Johnson and/or your guidance counselor when you complete an A+ class so that your next course can be set up in the system.

    Students enrolled in the Bridges Evening Program will participate in eLearning days starting April 6, for their classroom courses.  Students enrolled in an A+ course will be able to access their A+ course from home beginning March 31.  Instructions on how to access A+ from home are below and in the  document listed below.

    BRIDGES PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
    The Bridges Evening Program, housed at the Almond Campus, is designed to provide a comprehensive alternative program for students to improve their academic achievement such that they are able to satisfy graduation requirements and earn a Warren diploma.  Equally important the Bridges program will provide instruction, modeling, and mentoring on career and life skills that will facilitate the students being able to successfully “bridge” to the world of adult or post-secondary education or the world of work. Any member of the building Student Service Team, Administrator or parent, may refer a student to the Bridges Evening Program.  The District’s admission criteria is non-discriminatory in that any student regardless of race ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or special education status will be considered for admission. There are two limiting criteria that apply; students must be 16 years of age and entering their 5th semester of high school.

    An initial “Success” meeting  with the Bridges Evening Guidance Counselor must take place for all students and their parent/guardian after the student has been referred to the program.  All Bridges Evening Program documentation including a Student Success Plan must be complete before students can begin classes.

    Bridges Schedule
    Classes meet at the Almond Campus - (B1 Doors) Monday - Thursday 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.

    The Spring Semester of the Bridges Program will resume on Tuesday January 7, 2020.  PLEASE BE SURE TO ENTER THROUGH THE B-1 DOORS LOCATED AT THE SOUTH END OF THE BUILDING.

    Your counselor will have your class schedule for you on the first night.  Please arrive by 4:45 p.m. to pick up your schedule. Class starts at 5:00 p.m.

     First semester report cards will be emailed, to the email on file with the school, by January 7. 

    **Please note, due to the Almond Campus Open House on Thursday, January 30, the Bridges Program will have an adjusted schedule that day.  Bridges will be in session from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on January 30.

    Class Times:                         

    • 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday

     First Night of Class:

    • Thursday, May 21, 2020 (as long as no emergency days are used)

     NO CLASS on the following nights:

    • January 6, 2020 – Teacher Institute Day
    • January 20, 2020 – Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday --  School Closed
    • February 17, 2020 – Non-Attendance Day --  School Closed
    • February 28, 2020 – Teacher Institute Day – School Closed
    • March 2, 2020 – Casimir Pulaski Day --  School Closed
    • March 23-27, 2020 – Spring Break --  School Closed
    • April 10, 2020 – Non-Attendance Day --  School Closed

     Final Exams/Adjusted Schedule Dates:     

    • January 30, 2020 – Almond Campus Open House. Classes meet 4:00-6:00 p.m.
    • March 20, 2020 – Early Release Spring Break. Classes meet 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
    • May 18-21, 2020 – Final Exams. Classes meet 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
