If you are looking for something different to fill in your summer in between relaxing at the pool or hanging out with friends, attending summer programs or visiting college campuses might be a great addition!

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering while in high school is beneficial for many reasons. Not only are you giving back to the community and helping others, but scholarship organizations, college and universities and honors societies appreciate your service.
An ideal area to emphasize your volunteerism is in your intended field of study (if possible) after high school. This will allow you to immerse yourself into the field prior to studying that major in college to determine if the field is a good fit for you.
